A trip down the Silk Road in China is not a classic China trip.

​

We traveled in the northwestern regions of China, where the trade road linking the Far East and the Moddle east and Europe passed, some 1,200 years ago.

​

It was an encounter with unfamiliar China, which is a gathering of tribal cultures and religions belnding into each other and affecting local customs, food, clothing and culture.

​

Meeting with Uyghurs people of the dessert, Kazakh, Tajik, Kyrgyz, Uzbek, Afghan, and Hui Muslims was a unique experience. 

Especially on Sunday Bazaar in Kashgar, which is one of the largest, most colorful and diverse in the region, representing this special ethnic mix.

​

We visited fascinating and special places such as Donhuang Buddhist Caves, Turpan, Kashgar, Taxkorgan, Urumqi and more.

Bayinbulak's endless meadows wher thousands of horses, two-humped camel and buffalo grazins. 

​

We crossed The Mighty Tianshan Mountains, viseted the colorful mountains of Danxia which are one of the unique natural wonders of the Silk Road and more.

​

The amazing connection betweem the snowy mountains, the desert, the vast meadows, the huge rivers such as the Yellow River.

Visiting Mongolian tribes, in their Yurta  tents, learning the way of life of the nomads and of those living in remote villages. 

​

Mixed cultures, people, great nature on one hand and outrageous policy against minorities.
